The
Tibetan terrier is a confident, happy
and intelligent family dog.
It should be
a part of your family and not ignored or
left alone for long periods of time. It
is totally devoted to its family.
It is a good watchdog and it can
always tell you, with its bark, when
guests are arriving - but fortunately it
stops barking as soon as the family has
"accepted" the guests.
The Tibetan terrier is a healthy dog,
that's not often sick. It is not unusual
to find a Tibetan Terrier that lives to
17 or 18 years old.
Height ca. 35-41 cm.
Weight ca. 8 - 14 kg.
The Tibetan Terrier is small enough
to live in a flat in the city, and hardy
enough to live a more outdoor life in
the country. Its size and temperament
make it well suited in the role of a
family dog.
Many owners of Tibetan Terriers claims
that their dogs have humour. And I have
to agree....
But it's very hard to explain it to
people, who never have meet a TT. Its
like there lives a little clown inside
most TTs and sometimes they will do
things, where you can't find any logical
explanation, other than they just did it
to fool around. With a Tibetan Terrier
in the house, you will soon feel that
you got a precious treasure indoor.
They have a very unique personality,
which soon captures most people. Their
devotion towards their two-legged
family, has to warm the coldest heart.
Once you lived with a TT, it's hard to
imagine a life without.
